Job summary

Chaparral Company is seeking a field electrician/helper to assemble, install, and maintain electric heat trace systems. You will read drawings, perform electrical calculations, and troubleshoot faults on outdoor installations.

The role requires basic electrical knowledge, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and strong communication. You will work with insulation teams and report progress to the supervisor in a safety-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• Basic electrical knowledge is preferred but not required.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings for installation guidance.
• Experience handling electrical meters and hand/power tools is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, and maintain electric heat trace systems.
• Perform electrical calculations to support installations.
• Read and interpret construction drawings to guide installation.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and assist with repair of electrical faults and equipment issues.
• Install insulation on HVAC ducts, pipes, plumbing systems, and industrial piping.
• Collaborate with Chaparral Insulation Supervisor for installation coordination.
• Document all work performed and provide progress updates.
• Follow all safety procedures and protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and handheld electrical meters safely.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Experience with electrical meters, hand tools, and power tools.
