Job summary

Job Juncture is seeking an Assembly/Harnessing Technician in Chatsworth, CA to join our on-site manufacturing team on first shift. The role reports to the Manufacturing Supervisor and offers a collaborative environment with direct exposure to electrical and mechanical assembly tasks.

The candidate will perform high-reliability soldering, wire harness assembly, and interpretation of engineering drawings while maintaining ESD procedures. Must have a HS diploma and 5+ years in the field.

Qualifications

• J-STD Certification is REQUIRED.
• 5+ years of electrical assembly experience.
• 5+ years of soldering experience.
• Read/interpret engineering drawings/blueprints/schematics.

Responsibilities

• Assemble high reliability chassis and final assemblies using circuit cards, stand offs, wire harnesses, solder and crimping, electrical and mechanical instruments.
• Perform high reliability soldering and crimping operations on complex sub-assemblies, electronic, and mechanical assemblies, repair of circuit boards, jumper wires, and wire harnesses.
• Decipher and work from assembly drawings, worksheets, parts lists, test specifications, and other instructions, both written and oral.
• Know and follow applicable Electro-Static Discharge (ESD) procedures
• Perform running harnessing and working with motion control pointing mechanisms as required.
• Work in concert with Product Engineering in diagnosing and proposing the necessary rework on models that are intricate in structure and design.
• Work closely with engineering to innovate testing procedures and suggest changes in worksheet processes.
• Clean components to required cleanliness levels. Maintains traceability records, MDC forms and configuration records on controlled programs.
• Work on repair units normally run with production units.
• May be required to travel to customer facilities and service company hardware.
