Job Description

Seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with expertise in electronics design, circuit boards, CCAs, embedded microcontrollers, CAN, Ethernet, microprocessors, and hardware development.

FPGA experience (Xilinx), communication protocols, and MIL Standards are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical components and subsystems for processing and interface products.
• Support from concept to production including design, debugging, testing, and qualification.
• Assist in system architecture analysis, trade studies, and engineering reviews.
• Review and develop hardware/software requirements and test plans.
• Support circuit design, component procurement, prototype debugging, and hardware builds.
• Develop engineering fixes and coordinate solutions.
• Maintain detailed records of design changes, debugging, and revisions.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience; senior candidates considered.
• Proficiency with engineering development and testing tools.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.

Desired Knowledge Areas

• Digital and analog design, power, and thermal analysis.
• Schematic development, component selection, PCB layout, and simulation.
• Experience with microprocessor-based products (Intel, AMD, ARM, etc.).
• Embedded microcontroller hardware and programming (C, C++, Visual Studio).
• Industry-standard interfaces (USB, SATA, Ethernet, CAN, etc.).
• Graphics/video interfaces (HDMI, DisplayPort, etc.).
• FPGA design (Xilinx), EMI/EMC, high-speed signal integrity, military standards (MIL-STD).
• Six Sigma tools, DFMEA, reliability analysis.

This client is a US Federal Government contractor and is legally required to hire US Citizens. US Citizens will only be considered for this role.

A United States Government Clearance is required for eligibility.
