Job summary

Ascential Technologies in Michigan is seeking a controls engineer to design control systems for custom machines using EPLAN, AutoCAD Electric, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems. You will balance detailed design with conceptual thinking to meet project goals.

You will collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to develop assembly, process control and quality procedures, and maintain clear communication with program managers and fellow controls engineers to keep projects on track.

Qualifications

• Designing controls systems for custom machines utilizing EPLAN, AutoCAD Electric or Electrical, Pneumatic and Hydraulic.
• Ability to think conceptually – understand the appropriate level of detail to create designs.
• Work with Manufacturing Engineering to develop assembly, process control and quality workmanship procedures.
• Effective communication between program managers and controls engineers to keep flow of project maintained.
• Keeping updated on the field’s concepts, practices and procedures.

• Ability to size electrical systems proficiently.
