Tradesmen International is hiring experienced Electricians/Generator Technicians for projects located in the Clinton, NJ area. This is a first shift opportunity, and the pay rate is up to $36/hour based on experience and skill level.

Qualifications

• Experience installing, wiring, and servicing electrical systems per NEC and local codes.
• Experience with standby generators and transfer switches.
• Ability to diagnose electrical and generator-related problems.
• Commitment to safety and high craftsmanship.

Responsibilities

• Install, wire, commission, troubleshoot, and service residential and light-commercial electrical systems.
• Install and service automatic standby generators, transfer switches, and associated equipment.
• Perform electrical work in accordance with NEC requirements, manufacturer specifications, and applicable local codes.
• Diagnose electrical and generator-related problems and determine appropriate repairs.
• Perform preventive maintenance and warranty-related service on installed generator systems.
• Read and interpret electrical diagrams, wiring schematics, technical specifications, and installation documentation.
• Verify proper generator sizing and electrical connections based on project requirements.
• Work with natural-gas and propane-powered standby generator systems.
• Assist with generator start-up, testing, commissioning, and customer orientation.
• Identify code, installation, or equipment issues and communicate findings to management and customers.
• Maintain accurate service documentation and job records.
• Coordinate with permitting, inspection, and project personnel as required.
• Maintain a professional appearance and provide courteous, knowledgeable customer service.
• Follow company safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized job site.
