Qualifications

• Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 15+ years of electrical engineering experience in electric utilities (investor-owned, public power, cooperatives).
• Thorough knowledge of federal/state/local laws, rules, regs, codes, standards of care, and safety aspects.
• Excellent technical, analytical, writing, and communication skills.
• Aptitude to translate complex findings into clear evidence for non-technical audiences.
• Clean background screen, driver's license, and ability to drive.

Responsibilities

• Investigate incidents involving design, construction, operation, and maintenance of electrical systems, equipment, and devices.
• Analyze applicable laws, rules, regulations, codes, and standards of care.
• Write clear, scientifically sound reports.
• Provide expert testimony.
