MIDLAND INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT is seeking an Electrical Foreman for the School Plant Services in Midland, Texas. This non-exempt role oversees daily operations of the electrical department, supervises electricians, coordinates repairs, and ensures safe, code-compliant work across all district facilities.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, a Texas driver’s license, and a Master Electrician license; plus five years as a licensed electrician.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of Electrical circuits, system and equipment repairs and repair techniques including maintenance and new construction.
• Read construction drawings and schematics.
• Work independently and manage a group of people.
• Background in energy efficient electrical and mechanical systems.
• Possess a working knowledge to read construction documents and equipment schematics.

Responsibilities

• Schedule repairs and modifications of district electrical systems and equipment.
• Estimate and secure materials for the Electrical Department.
• Maintain records and schedules of jobs including work orders and electrical construction projects.
• Coordinate with administrators to minimize disruption.
• Oversee contracted services and emergency on-call for the district.
