Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; prior field experience preferred.
• Ability to demonstrate thorough knowledge to supervise craft workers.
• Ability to perform task planning to safely and efficiently carry out work and train safety practices.
• Understanding scheduling, material control and unit manhour performance, estimating fundamentals and job cost management.
• Ability to understand and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with crafts and supervision.
• Must be a good communicator, motivator, and team player.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and organize people, equipment, tools and materials to promote the safe, efficient and timely construction of the project.
• Ensure that construction equipment is correctly operated and maintained.
• Maintain accurate reporting records including job quantities, productivity rates, time sheets and daily management reports.
• May assist in developing a weekly schedule and sequencing of activities for the crew.
• Responsible for timely completion of work within estimated costs while upholding quality workmanship.
• Ensure safety of the crew and conduct operations according to company and government safety rules.
• Develop and maintain crew attitude by toolbox meetings and communicating safety concerns, work scope, plans and schedules to leaders and crews.
• Monitor compliance with all company policies.
