Scope Of Work
The Lead Person will oversee the management of project installations, alterations, additions, and repairs of electrical systems, conductors, and associated materials and equipment within the commercial and industrial electrical industry.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate the ability to run medium to large-size projects effectively. Consistently complete projects on time, within budget, and in a safe manner.
- Supervise and direct field personnel, typically overseeing a team of 25+ employees. Establish performance goals and motivate crews to meet or exceed goals.
- Accountable for the on-site management and safety of projects, ensuring adherence to budget, time, and quality standards.
- Address and resolve conflicts related to construction activities and personnel issues.
- Coordinate field installations and project close-outs, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently.
- Review project documents, plans, and specifications to direct construction activities. Complete basic paperwork promptly.
- Manage resources (tools, equipment, staffing) effectively within the crew.
- Read and understand estimates with assistance from project management or the superintendent.
- Report to the Field Supervisor, General Superintendent, or Project Manager.
- Engage with stakeholders such as owners, architects, engineers, trade contractors, and vendors.
- Maintain required licensing and training.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent.
- Completion of an approved electrical apprenticeship program.
- Six or more years of experience (12,000+ hours) meeting the position requirements.
