Job summary

Z Modular Power seeks a Data Center Electrical Foreman to lead field crews on hyperscale data center projects in Texas. You will direct daily operations, coordinate labor, and ensure safety, quality, and on-time commissioning for high-performance electrical installations.

Requirements include 7+ years of electrical construction, strong NEC/NFPA 70E knowledge, ability to read drawings, and proven leadership. Travel across Texas and to other states is expected; on-site roles only.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years electrical construction experience with field leadership roles.
  • Experience reading electrical drawings, one-line diagrams, and BIM layouts.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, OSHA rules and LOTO procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Lead electrical crews in installation, testing, and turnover of mission-critical systems.
  • Plan daily work, assign responsibilities, and monitor progress to meet production goals.
  • Verify crew qualifications and provide coaching on safety, quality and installation methods.
  • Coordinate with trades, vendors, and project leadership; maintain turnover and documentation.

You will play a critical leadership role in delivering hyperscale data centers, AI infrastructure, cloud computing facilities, and other high-performance electrical construction projects where precision, reliability, and schedule discipline are essential.If you are a proven field leader who excels at motivating teams, driving productivity, and delivering quality work in fast-paced environments, we encourage you to apply.What You'll DoField Leadership & Crew ManagementLead electrical crews in the safe installation, testing, correction, and turnover of mission-critical electrical systems.Plan daily work activities and assign responsibilities to ensure efficient execution.Establish clear production goals and monitor progress throughout the workday.Verify crew qualifications and provide direction, coaching, and support to team members.Train and mentor electricians and apprentices on installation methods, safety expectations, quality standards, and best practices.Project Execution & InstallationReview drawings, one-line diagrams, specifications, equipment details, BIM layouts, and installation work packages with crews.Supervise installation of: Conduit systems Cable tray systems Busway infrastructure Grounding and bonding systems Feeders and branch circuits Control wiring Switchgear Transformers Generators UPS systems Batteries PDUs and RPPs Electrical controls and associated equipmentVerify routing, clearances, dimensions, elevations, labeling, and installation requirements before work begins.Support equipment setting, cable pulls, terminations, testing, startup, energization, and commissioning activities.Safety & Quality AssuranceConduct pre-task planning meetings, toolbox talks, stretch-and-flex activities, and job hazard analyses.Enforce OSHA, NFPA 70E, LOTO, customer, and site-specific safety requirements.Stop work immediately when unsafe conditions exist.Perform first-work inspections, in-process quality checks, torque verification, labeling verification, and punch-list corrections.Maintain focus on zero-defect installation standards and commissioning readiness.Coordination & DocumentationCoordinate daily activities with other trades, vendors, quality personnel, commissioning teams, field engineers, and project leadership.Monitor labor productivity, installed quantities, material usage, rework, and crew performance.Maintain accurate: Daily reports Manpower records Inspection documentation Redline drawings Testing records Turnover checklistsEnsure required materials, tools, permits, inspections, and documentation are available before work begins.What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications7+ years of electrical construction experience.2+ years of experience in a Foreman, Lead Electrician, or comparable leadership role.Strong knowledge of: National Electrical Code (NEC) NFPA 70E OSHA regulations Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures Electrical safety and installation best practicesAbility to read and interpret: Electrical drawings One-line diagrams Specifications Equipment documentation Work packages BIM-generated layoutsDemonstrated ability to plan work, organize crews, coordinate inspections, track production, and complete project documentation.Strong conduit installation, cable management, equipment installation, troubleshooting, and quality-control skills.Excellent communication, leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.Ability to travel throughout Texas and to other project locations as required.Ability to work overtime, weekends, nights, and rotating schedules when project needs require.Preferred QualificationsCurrent Texas Journeyman Electrician License.Experience working on: Hyperscale data centers AI infrastructure projects HPC facilities GPU-driven environments Colocation facilities Enterprise data centers Mission-critical electrical construction projectsExperience with: Medium-voltage infrastructure Switchgear and transformer installations Generator systems UPS systems Grounding systems Busway installations Commissioning and startup activitiesExperience managing punch lists, turnover documentation, testing requirements, and customer acceptance processes.Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft 365, tablets, electronic drawings, and digital field reporting tools.Experience supporting modular construction, prefabricated electrical systems, skids, or repetitive installation programs.Why Join Z Modular Power?At Z Modular Power, we're building the critical infrastructure powering cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and next-generation digital technologies.
