Job summary

Adams Electric Company is seeking a qualified supervisor to directly oversee electricians, apprentices, helpers, and temporary workers. The role focuses on safety, quality control, and coordinating jobsite activities with management and partners.

The candidate will read blueprints, manage schedules, and ensure compliance with company policies while fostering a culture of safety and reliability on diverse construction sites across the region.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (G.E.D)
• Licensure as an electrician OR
• 4-10 years related experience or equivalent knowledge and experience

Responsibilities

• Lead by example in daily work and safety.
• Implement quality control measures on projects.
• Examine and inspect work progress, equipment, and sites to verify safety and specifications.
• Prepare Jobsite Safety Analysis, Jobsite Hazard Analysis and safety reports.
• Interpret and track project schedule to forecast manpower needs.
• Read specifications and blueprints to plan procedures and requirements.
• Maintain basic computer skills for reporting and records.
• Track and complete weekly time sheets on a tablet or computer.
• Supervise and coordinate electricians, apprentices, helpers and temp workers.
• Coordinate with management, trade partners and other departments to resolve issues.
• Locate and mark site locations and equipment placement.
• Analyze potential production problems and provide solutions.
• Train workers in construction methods, safety, and company policies.
• Meet all requirements as an electrician and perform the work of electricians

POSITION SUMMARY

Directly supervise, manage and coordinate activities of electricians, apprentices, helpers, and temporary workers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Lead by example
• Implement quality control measures.
• Examine and inspect work progress, equipment, and construction sites to verify safety and to ensure that specifications are met.
• Prepare and provide documents such as Jobsite Safety Analysis, Jobsite Hazard Analysis and safety reports.
• Interpret and track project schedule to provide two-week look ahead and forecast manpower requirements based on the project goals and schedule
• Read specifications and blueprints to plan procedures and determine construction requirements
• Maintain basic computer skills
• Track and complete weekly time sheets on an IPAD or computer tablet.
• Formally manage and request materials and supplies
• Supervise, coordinate, and assign the activities of electricians, apprentices, helpers and temp workers
• Confer with management, trade partners, other departments and contractors in order to coordinate work activities and resolve problems
• Locate, measure, and mark site locations and placement of structures and equipment, using measuring and marking equipment
• Analyze worker, foresee any production problems and recommend solutions, such as improving production methods or implementing motivational plans.
• Train workers in construction methods, operation of equipment, safety procedures, and company policies
• Meet all requirements as an electrician and perform the work normally assigned to electricians

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education, Training and Certifications

• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (G.E.D)
• Licensure as an electrician OR
• 4-10 years related experience or equivalent knowledge and experience

Working Conditions

• Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required (Hard hat, vest, protective eyewear, safety boots.)
• Work is performed indoors and outdoors, often exposed to the natural elements of cold, heat, moisture, and wind.
• Must be physically able to repetitively lift and carry at least 50 LBS on a regular basis.
• Must comply with the company’s drug and alcohol testing requirements and background screening process.
