CS Erickson is seeking an Electrical Foreman to lead a commercial construction electrical crew on site. You will plan, lay out, install, and wire components in accordance with drawings, specs, and code.

You will coordinate daily tasks, delegate duties, recruit and mentor staff, ensure safety, manage budgets and quality, and report progress to supervisors and engineers. Strong leadership and OSHA knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Journeyman or Master Electrical license required.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities.

About the role

The Electrical Foremanis responsible forleading an electrical crew on commercial construction sites. Their primary role is to ensure planning, laying out, installing, and wiring electrical components are completed, as per project drawings,specificationsandin accordance withapplicable electrical codes.

What you’ll do

• Coordinating daily tasks according to priorities and plans, making changes when necessary due to weather, supply,deliveryand personnel

• Delegating individual responsibilities and projects to crew members and contractors

• Recruiting, hiring, training, managing and mentoring employees and contractors

• Providing adequate resources and staffing to meet project schedules, laws, regulations, bestpracticesand safety needs

• Emphasizing safe use of tools, machinery and equipment while providing training on safety gear,hardhatsand procedures

• Managing project budgets and quality standards for all sites

• Resolving conflicts or miscommunications quickly and amicably

• Regularly reporting project status to supervisors, siteengineersand other officials

Qualifications

• Required Skills, Experience, and Education

• Journeyman or Master Electrical license

• Customer-service skills to communicate with inspectors and administration to develop a positive working relationship

• Decision-making skills for selecting personnel and subcontractors for specific tasks and jobs to meet deadlines and budgets

• Initiative for generating their own business opportunities and being proactive inlocatingnew clients

• Leadership skills for effectively delegating tasks to lower-level managers,subcontractorsand construction workers.

• Speaking skills for providing clear orders, explaining complex information to clients and constructionworkersand discussing technical details with other building specialists

• Technical skills for interpreting construction methods and technologies along with contracts and technical drawings.

• Time-management skills to meet deadlines andensureconstruction phases are completed on time so that the next phase can start

• Writing skills for writing budgets, proposals and plans along with documenting work progress for clients and others involved

• Proven experience as a Foreman for other construction sites

• In-depth knowledge of OSHA guidelines

Preferred Skills and Abilities

• 6-10 years of electrical field leadership experience

• 10+ years of electrical experience

• Crews 10-20

• Projects up to $1,000,000

• Strongproficiencyin software and tools (e.g.,Accubid, McCormick, Bluebeam, Procore,Plangrid) and Microsoft Office Suite
