Job description

Responsibilities
  • Productivity Planning for assigned scope of work
  • Material Phasing – organize material by specific areas/floors and keep track of inventory.
  • Tools & Equipment – identify all required tools, maintain inspection records, and track by signing sheets in/out.
  • Information Packages – ensure each crew activity has contract drawings, shop drawings, panel schedules, cut sheets, etc.
  • Keep control of breaks (timing of personal breaks, smoking time, conversation time, etc.).
  • Daily hour/unit reports for crews – submit hours/units daily for each employee assigned to the foreman using a Standard Time Sheet.
  • Quality control inspections of work completed – follow the established QC plan and checklists.
  • Responsible for installing the work in a professional and high‑quality standard.
  • Maintaining accurate as‑built drawings – update and log onto master record contract drawings at least once a week.
  • Inventory of all tools & equipment at each day’s end; submit inventory/inspection sheets every Monday.
  • Lost/Stolen/Damage tool report.
  • AHA’s – review, sign, and store at the gang box.
  • Support equipment inspection – submit daily equipment inspection sheets once a week.
  • Accident/incident reporting & investigation – submit within 24 hours of occurrence.
  • Clean up – foreman and crew leader responsible; leave work area broom‑swept at the end of the day.
Quality Of Work Completed Must Follow
  • Ensure installation meets/exceeds codes, contractual obligations, best practices, and other requirements mandated by the Corporate Quality Policy.
  • Review and implement all facets of the Project Quality Plan; document deviations and obtain site Q.C. approval before proceeding.
  • Assist the site Q.C. representative in the 3‑Phase Quality Control (Preparatory, Initial & Follow‑up) for each Definable Feature of Work.
  • Document and return CQC checklists to the site Q.C. representative; ensure inspections are timely.
  • Initiate discrepancy notices (EDN, DDN, PDN, FDN, ADN, PITDN, CDN) to document and communicate issues for resolution.
  • Review and provide feedback on weekly installation quality scorecards; address systemic issues via root‑cause, corrective, and preventive action.
  • Review daily Q.C. report with crew to mitigate and eliminate nonconformities.
  • Ensure nonconformity tags identified on discrepant installations are resolved promptly.
  • Participate in QAQC design review of engineering & coordination drawings; identify constructability issues.
  • Provide feedback on the quality portion of the daily ORM work briefing.
Qualifications
  • 6+ years of experience in the electrical industry with a high school diploma or GED.
  • 4+ years of experience with an associate degree.
Abilities
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move objects up to 50 pounds on a regular basis; demonstrate strength and stamina for loading, unloading, operating equipment, and transporting materials; follow proper lifting techniques and safety protocols.
  • Can relocate a 12‑foot stepladder without assistance.
  • Can work at heights up to 60 feet; climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, and ladders.
  • Can walk, climb, lift, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull, and reach overhead repeatedly.
  • Has good vision (may be corrected), can see in color, and can hear and communicate in English.
  • Can use a standard ladder without exceeding the weight limit while carrying tools.
  • Can identify when something is wrong or likely to go wrong; recognizes problems but does not solve them.
  • Can apply general rules to specific problems to produce meaningful answers.
  • Can combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions.
  • Can see details at close range (within a few feet of observer).
  • Can listen to and understand information and ideas presented in spoken words and sentences.
