Electrical Field Service Specialist

Responsibilities
  • You will develop and implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs for electrical systems across multiple facilities
  • Work independently to analyze issues, make technical decisions, and provide field recommendations
  • Maintain and troubleshoot industrial electrical distribution systems and equipment, including substations, breakers, switchgear, MCCs, protective relay systems, battery and UPS systems, and transformers up to 138kV
  • Support and service induction and synchronous motors up to 40,000 HP and 15,000 volts
  • Plan, schedule, coordinate, lead, and perform preventive and corrective maintenance based on established procedures
  • Execute predictive maintenance activities, including IR thermography, transformer oil analysis, partial discharge analysis and power quality analysis
  • You will perform a combination of office-based and field-based work
  • Remain available for off-hours support as needed
  • Work in all weather conditions and access elevated equipment using ladders, scaffolding, man-lifts, and crane baskets
Qualifications
  • Associate’s Degree in Electrical Engineering / Technology or a minimum of five (5) years of experience maintaining medium voltage (5 kV to 15 kV) electrical systems and equipment in an industrial environment
  • Hands‑on experience in industrial electrical maintenance in roles such as field service engineer, field service technician / representative, electrician, power distribution technician, or project manager
  • Working knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices for industrial electrical systems and equipment
  • You have strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in team environments
  • You have a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results with minimal supervision
  • Proficiency in using computers and standard software packages, including MS Office and email systems
  • Travel approximately 20% domestically to support multiple sites
