Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an Accredited University.
• 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, laboratories, healthcare, pharmaceutical facilities, and R&D.
• Valid Class C driver’s license.
• OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety certification.
• Ability to read, interpret, and enforce plans, specifications, design manuals, codes, and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in contract administration: submittals, RFIs, change-orders, claims, and payment application review.
• Skilled in preparing clear, concise written reports, sketches, and photographic records.
• Good oral and written communication; ability to lead meetings and coordinate among diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day construction monitoring and detailed inspections for Electrical (Power, Backup Power, and Fire Alarm) ensuring adherence to plans, specifications, standards, and codes.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive daily inspection reports, Inspector Daily Reports (IDRs), photographs, field books/diaries, sketches, and record drawings.
• Review and process contractor submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, change-order proposals, and contract-claim documentation; conduct change-order and delay-analysis using CPM methods.
• Document and analyze time-and-material and unit-price work; review payment applications and provide recommendations for adjustments.
• Enforce safety procedures (OSHA-30, fall protection, confined-space entry, work-zone requirements); issue noncompliance notices or suspend work for life-threatening safety violations after consultation with supervisors.
