Job description

Electrical Field Engineer 4 (Located in Las Vegas, NV)

Amentum is actively seeking a mid to senior level Electrical Field Engineer, located north of the Las Vegas, NV area, responsible to act as a liaison between engineering and construction and perform a variety of engineering tasks in the initial planning through final design for projects of advanced complexity under the minimal supervision of a Supervising Electrical Engineer. The Engineer interacts with other disciplines, project support groups, vendors and client representatives, as well as initiating and developing engineering calculations, studies and drawings.

Responsibilities

- Establish and maintain clear lines of communication between the engineering office and the construction site ensuring seamless coordination.

- Act as the primary point of contact for all interface-related issues and inquiries, facilitating resolutions in a timely manner.

- Implement communication protocols.

- Monitor progress and performance against interface milestones, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies as necessary.

- Conduct regular interface meetings to promote collaboration and alignment across project teams.

-Must have obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from a 4-year ABET accredited college or university.

-A minimum of 7 years of post-graduation professional electrical engineering experience

-Experience with developing electrical one-line diagrams, schematics and wiring diagrams.

-Experience in sizing and specifying electrical equipment.

-Advanced level of understanding of power system analysis, lighting, power & control, grounding, lightning protection systems.

-Proficient in 2D AutoCAD.

-Excellent oral communication and technical writing skills.

-Due to the nature of work, candidate must be a US Citizen. Must not have Dual Citizenship.

-Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.

-Position requires travel.

Preferred Qualifications

Field Experience on Electrical Construction Projects

Professional Engineer License in Electrical Engineering (Please indicate in profile)

DOE/DOD/Army Corp of Engineer project experience

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $92K - $144K Annually (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
