Job summary

LancOpasheriff is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician I for county buildings, primarily at the Youth Intervention Center. You will perform electrical repairs and maintenance, plus HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and painting tasks to ensure uninterrupted operations.

You may work on-call or off-shift as needed and will support other facilities across county properties. The role requires 2-4 years of skilled electrical experience, basic computer skills, and the ability to safely follow

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of skilled electrical experience in building maintenance, service or construction.
• Must have basic computer skills (email, internet, spreadsheets).
• Strong communication and ability to follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a vehicle and equipment.
• Perform electrical repair and maintenance per NEC and codes.
• Maintain HVAC systems and related components.
• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing fixtures and systems.
• Carry out carpentry and painting tasks as needed.
• Support general building maintenance and janitorial duties.
• Maintain digital records of preventive maintenance and service requests.
