Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Electrical Estimator in Cincinnati, OH to develop accurate cost estimates for commercial and industrial electrical projects. You will review drawings, specifications, and project requirements, perform quantity take-offs, and prepare detailed bid proposals.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of electrical estimating experience, proficiency with Accubid or similar software, and knowledge of NEC regulations.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of electrical estimating experience in construction, industrial, or commercial sectors.
• Proficient in estimating software such as Accubid.
• Knowledge of electrical codes, industry standards, and NEC regulations.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze electrical drawings, specifications, and project requirements to develop accurate cost estimates.
• Perform quantity take-offs for labor, materials, and equipment to prepare detailed bid proposals.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to clarify project scope and address potential challenges.
• Research and obtain competitive pricing from suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options while maintaining project integrity.
• Ensure estimates comply with industry codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Prepare and present detailed bid proposals, including cost breakdowns, schedules, and risk assessments.
• Track and update cost databases, historical pricing, and labor rates for continuous improvement in estimating accuracy.
• Assist in contract negotiations, change orders, and budget adjustments during project execution.
