Job summary

CyberCoders in New Haven, CT is seeking an Electrical Project Manager/Estimator to deliver complex electrical construction projects for government-related initiatives.

You will develop estimates, manage projects from kickoff to closeout, coordinate with engineers, inspectors and field teams, ensure compliance with NEC/NFPA/FAA/DoD, and handle documentation such as RFIs and change orders.

Qualifications

• Experience estimating and/or managing electrical construction projects.
• Understanding of contracting, including specifications, submittal processes, and compliance requirements.
• Ability to interpret complex electrical drawings, one-lines, and technical documentation.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Commitment to accuracy, safety, and delivering work that meets stringent government standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop accurate, compliant estimates for electrical projects, including detailed takeoffs, vendor pricing, and proposal preparation.
• Manage awarded projects from kickoff through closeout, ensuring adherence to contract requirements, safety standards, and agency specifications.
• Coordinate with engineers, inspectors, subcontractors, and field teams to maintain progress and resolve technical challenges.
• Oversee documentation such as RFIs, submittals, change orders, schedules, and quality-control records in accordance with government protocols.
• Support projects involving medium and high-voltage distribution, airfield lighting, SCADA-integrated systems, water/wastewater electrical upgrades, and secure facility infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, FAA, DoD, and other applicable federal standards.
