Job summary

Clayco SEI seeks an Electrical Estimator to develop detailed cost estimates for heavy manufacturing, industrial, and mission-critical projects. You will interact with engineers, architects, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and project teams to prepare accurate price quotes.

Responsibilities include pre-bid analysis, quantity surveys, bid packaging, and coordination with other trades while using digitized tools to apply industry-standard labor rates and document all assumptions clearly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years’ construction experience with 1+ years’ experience estimating electrical systems.
• Strong knowledge of NEC and electrical codes.

Responsibilities

• Attend pre-bid meetings and analyze project requirements.
• Review project documents to determine material, equipment, and labor needs.
• Prepare scopes of work for subcontracts and coordinate with other trades.
• Assist in pricing documents for conceptual and schematic estimates.
• Perform quantity surveys and apply standard labor rates to cost estimates.
• Support budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and change order pricing.
