Job summary

The State Group is seeking an Electrical Estimator to join our Janesville, Wisconsin office. You will develop electrical cost estimates for diverse projects, including conceptual, design-build, and tender work, calculating material, labor, and equipment costs from plans and specifications.

Responsibilities include reviewing data, drafting RFQs, collaborating with project teams, and using Accubid for precise estimates. 8+ years of experience and strong organizational skills are required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of construction estimating experience in automotive, data center, or industrial sectors.
• Proficiency in Accubid Estimating Software.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and interpret schematics.
• Capable of commuting to the Janesville, KY office daily.

Responsibilities

• Prepare electrical cost estimates for diverse projects, including concept, design-build, and tender work.
• Calculate material, labor, and equipment costs from proposals and specs.
• Review data to determine material and labor requirements.
• Compute cost factors for planning, scheduling, bidding, and subcontracting.
• Draft RFQs to obtain competitive pricing from suppliers/subcontractors.
• Collaborate with project teams to support and commit to estimates.
• Use Accubid for precise cost calculations and cost saving analyses.
• Work with estimating leadership to set indirect costs and overheads.
• Perform other duties to achieve company objectives.
