Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking an Electrical Estimator in Derby for control panels, site works, and installation projects. You’ll prepare estimates and tender submissions, interpret drawings, and collaborate with design and delivery teams to ensure commercially viable solutions tailored to client specifications.

The role supports continuous improvement in estimating, with a strong emphasis on accuracy, supplier liaison, and progressing tenders from early stages within a growing engineering group.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in electrical estimating (panel build, controls or similar).
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience producing tender submissions and cost breakdowns.
• Commercial awareness with the ability to produce accurate estimates.
• Comfortable liaising with internal teams, suppliers and external stakeholders.

Overview

We’re looking for an Electrical Estimator to join a specialist division focused on control panels, site modifications, and installation projects within industrial and commercial environments.

This role centres around producing accurate estimates and tender submissions for a range of electrical works, including panel design and site-based installations. You’ll work closely with internal design and delivery teams to ensure solutions are commercially viable, technically sound, and aligned with client specifications.

Package

• Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 (flexible depending on experience)
• 35 days annual leave (including bank holidays), increasing to 38 days with service
