Job summary

gpac is seeking an Electrical Estimator for commercial construction projects in the Dallas, TX area. The role focuses on preparing accurate cost estimates, reviewing plans and bid documents, and collaborating with project teams.

You will perform quantity takeoffs, price labor, materials and equipment, solicit subcontractor quotes, and develop bid proposals. Proficiency with estimating software and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of commercial electrical construction.
• Proficiency with estimating software such as Accubid, McCormick, ConEst, Bluebeam, or similar platforms.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical plans, specifications, and construction documents.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for electrical construction projects.
• Review plans, specifications, and bid documents.
• Conduct quantity takeoffs and price labor, materials, and equipment.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor quotes.
• Develop detailed bid proposals and scope reviews.
• Collaborate with project managers, operations teams, and clients throughout the bidding process.
• Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving ideas.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and industry partners.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits as needed.
