Job summary

Bart's Electric seeks an experienced Electrical Estimator for our pre-construction team in the Kansas City/Liberty, MO area. You will develop detailed cost estimates covering labor, materials, equipment, and overhead to support project managers and clients.

In this role you’ll analyze drawings, specs, and contracts, collaborate with engineers and architects, and stay current on industry trends and market conditions to ensure precise estimates and timely submissions.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of estimator experience in electrical industry.
• Experience estimating complex projects with electrical packages $5,000,000+.
• Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., McCormick) and MS Office.
• Strong grasp of cost-estimation techniques, construction methods, and materials.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; strong organization and time management.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.

Responsibilities

• Plan and estimate costs by analyzing blueprints, specs, and project scope.
• Perform design-build and design-assist estimating; identify scope gaps and pricing concerns.
• Provide early budgetary guidance based on square footage and historical data.
• Review contracts and drawings to identify cost impacts and risks.
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors; ensure bids align with budget.
