Bergelectric Corp. is seeking an Electrical Estimator in Las Vegas to develop competitive bid proposals for national electrical projects. You will review plans, calculate costs, and identify value engineering opportunities while coordinating with vendors and project teams.

The role requires 5+ years of experience, strong MS Office skills, and experience with Accubid and Accubid LiveCount. This on-site position offers a comprehensive benefits package and active participation in pre-construction

Qualifications

• 5+ years of electrical estimating experience for commercial and industrial projects.
• Accustomed to estimating for projects valued at $5 million and above.
• Advanced skills with MS Office.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Experience utilizing Accubid and Accubid LiveCount is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate project plans and bid documents to identify what is needed for a project and to create a bid proposal.
• Calculate the cost of electrical construction based on reviewing and evaluating available documents.
• Analyze project for value engineering options while considering labor and material costs.
• Identify inconsistencies, conflicts, and other issues in the bid documents.
• Develop bid strategies to create bid advantages.
• Anticipate potential problems and devise proactive solutions.
• Prepare RFIs and questions to vendors.
• Request material and equipment quotes from vendors and equipment suppliers.
• Review quotes to ensure adherence to requests and accuracy.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with vendors.
• Prepare bid documents including scope letters, blue sheets and evaluations with buy-out adjustments.
• Assist in preparing budget pricing.
• Attend estimating/sales meetings and project meetings to discuss bid status.
• May perform job walks to observe field conditions impacting bids or pre-construction designs.
• Keep management and stakeholders informed on bid progress.
• Manage preconstruction activities during design phase on design-build projects.
• Assist in turnover meetings to operations on award.
• Assist in project pursuits and interviews as needed.
