Job summary

Austin Commercial, a leading commercial construction firm, is seeking an Electrical Estimator for our Phoenix Division. This role focuses on accurate quantity/cost take-offs, developing clarifications, and coordinating with design professionals to produce compelling bids.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of electrical estimation experience, a BS/BA in a relevant field, and proficiency with estimating software. We offer ESOP ownership and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years electrical construction estimating experience
• BS/BA in engineering, construction science, architecture, or relevant discipline strongly preferred, or equivalent education/experience
• Familiarity with construction materials, means, methods
• Proficient in relevant estimating and quantity take-off software
• Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities
• Thoroughness and reliability
• Excellent organizational skills
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship)

Responsibilities

• Quantity/Cost Take-Offs
• Develops accurate and concise clarifications and assumptions
• Identifies conflicts/missing data and obtains clarification from design professionals
• Distribution of bid documents
• Advances knowledge in building designs, systems, and construction materials
• Understands project requirements
• Obtain and review proposals and quotes by subcontractors or vendors
• Detailed review of all documents including specifications for onerous requirements
• Builds relationships with key vendors (subcontractors, suppliers, architects)
