Job summary

Premier Automation LLC in Monroeville, PA seeks an Electrical Estimator to develop accurate estimates for industrial electrical and drive system projects. You will review requirements, design concepts, size components, and prepare professional proposals.

This full-time on-site role reports to the Drives Manager. Responsibilities include creating system designs, preparing BOMs, vendor pricing, and coordinating with customers and teams to ensure profitable projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or equivalent.
• 2+ years of relevant electrical estimating or related experience.
• Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems and equipment.
• Ability to read drawings, schematics, specs, and single-line diagrams.
• Experience with BOMs, estimates, or technical proposals.

Responsibilities

• Review RFQs, customer specs, drawings, and project requirements.
• Develop preliminary electrical system designs and single-line diagrams.
• Size and select drives, motors, transformers, breakers, and major components.
• Create bills of material and obtain vendor pricing and lead times.
• Estimate material, engineering, manufacturing, testing, and project costs.
• Prepare competitive pricing and professional technical proposals.
• Define project scope, assumptions, exclusions, and risks.
• Coordinate with customers, Sales, Engineering, Purchasing, and vendors.
• Support handoff of awarded projects to Engineering teams.
• Maintain estimating records and pricing documentation.
