Job summary

Upgrade Resources in Fort Worth, TX is seeking an Electrical Estimator to prepare time, cost, material, and labor estimates for commercial electrical projects up to $1 million. The role involves collaborating with clients, vendors, project teams, and field supervision to convert drawings into competitive bids.

Recent graduates through about 3 years of estimating experience are welcome; training on Accubid is provided to grow into a full electrical estimator.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction science or related field.
• Recent graduate to about 3 years estimating experience.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent time management and ability to multitask.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Accubid tools is a plus; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Analyze blueprints and specifications to prepare time, cost, material, and labor estimates.
• Prepare estimates for commercial electrical projects up to $1 million.
• Consult with clients, vendors, and field supervision to formulate estimates and resolve issues.
• Prepare estimates used to select vendors and subcontractors.
• Confer with engineers, designers, owners, and contractors on changes and adjustments to estimates.
• Review material and labor requirements to decide whether to self-perform or subcontract.
• Prepare cost and expenditure statements at regular intervals for the duration of a project.
• Maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors.
