Job Description

Job Title: Electrical Estimator

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator responsible for all aspects of electrical estimation, including taking off lighting, wiring devices, and gear. The candidate will work directly with vendors to compile accurate estimates for potential commercial and residential multi-family electrical projects of $1 million or more.

  • Relocation to the DC area is available for the right candidate. US-based experience is required.
Responsibilities:
  • Accurately estimate plan and spec electrical projects using estimating software
  • Analyze blueprints, specifications, and quotes
  • Prepare labor and material estimates, including subcontractor pricing
  • Prepare and submit proposals
  • Establish and maintain client and vendor relationships
  • Perform site surveys and attend pre-bid walkthroughs
  • Prepare submittal packages
  • Collaborate with sales and project management teams to ensure projects are completed within budget and according to plans and specifications
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of estimating experience in the electrical industry with a proven track record
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and other construction documents
  • Knowledge of different types of electrical systems and components
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Trimble Accu-bid, LiveCount, and Bluebeam products
