The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years of experience in the electrical industry, with 3+ years in estimating. Responsibilities include preparing estimates, coordinating with project teams, and supporting proposals.

• At least 3 years of commercial/industrial electrical estimating experience.
• Field experience is preferred.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join a growing electrical contractor serving commercial and industrial projects throughout the Denver area. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with strong estimating experience and proficiency in Accubid to work on a variety of high-profile projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate estimates by reviewing plans, specifications, and addenda.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and develop complete project cost estimates.
• Utilize Accubid for estimating and bid preparation.
• Coordinate estimating strategies with project teams and account managers.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing.
• Review estimates for accuracy before submission.
• Track labor, material, subcontractor, and equipment costs.
• Prepare value engineering (VE) pricing and cost-saving alternatives.
• Support project handoffs and proposal presentations.
• Stay current with industry trends, pricing, products, and electrical codes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of experience in the electrical industry.
• At least 3 years of commercial/industrial electrical estimating experience.
• Accubid experience is required.
• Field experience is preferred.
• Strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building codes.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple estimates while meeting deadlines.
