This is an exciting time to join Market Equipment’s high-growth team. We are seeking an experienced electrical estimator/project manager with a background in the HVAC/R and commercial construction industries. The ideal candidate will have excellent time management, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail in a deadline-driven environment. The position is based in Spokane, WA.

Responsibilities and Skills

• Obtain bid invitations from various sources.
• Formulate bids and develop project execution plans.
• Improve business margins through informed pricing decisions based on product knowledge and delivery capabilities.
• Communicate with customers to provide bids for projects ranging from small jobs to large multi-month projects exceeding $1 million.
• Perform take-offs from blueprints and accurate job costing.
• Continuously improve the quoting process.
• Qualify and respond to bid requests from customers.
• Maintain organized paperwork and job files for smooth departmental transitions.
• Assist in procuring parts and materials, and help manage projects.
• Drive bidding activity by obtaining quotes, tracking deadlines, and submitting bids professionally and on time.
• Coordinate with electricians and supervisors on electrical project issues.
• Create and monitor approval or rejection of quotes.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and vendors.
• Plan, oversee, and manage electrical installation projects.
• Supervise and lead a team of field electricians.
• Expand the electrical sector of our business.

Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum five years of experience in the commercial electrical industry.
• Proficiency in computer applications.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• HVAC-R industry knowledge or experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Excellent customer service and phone skills, with flexibility in activities.
• Self-motivated and team-oriented.
• Effective time management skills.
• Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities.
• Ability to work independently, multi-task, and prioritize under strict deadlines.
• Journeyman electrical license is a plus.
