Job summary

First Point Group in Phoenix looks for an Electrical Estimator to prepare accurate estimates for BIM modeling and coordination on commercial electrical projects from preconstruction through project execution.

Responsibilities include reviewing drawings and specs, developing detailed BIM/VDC estimates, pricing for scope changes, and collaborating with BIM Managers to finalize estimates and maintain documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CM, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in commercial construction estimating, electrical construction, BIM/VDC, or related.
• Experience with commercial electrical construction projects and BIM workflows.

We are seeking an Electrical Estimator to support commercial electrical construction projects by preparing accurate estimates for BIM modeling and coordination efforts. This role is ideal for someone with experience in electrical construction, estimating, and BIM/VDC who enjoys working closely with project teams from preconstruction through project execution.

• Prepare BIM and VDC estimates for commercial electrical projects.
• Develop detailed estimates for modeling, coordination, prefabrication, and related project activities.
• Prepare scope inclusions, exclusions, and clarifications for project proposals.
• Collaborate with BIM Managers and project teams to review and finalize estimates.
• Support project kickoff meetings by explaining estimate assumptions and scope.
• Prepare pricing for change orders, revisions, and additional BIM scope throughout the project lifecycle.
• Track estimating data and production rates to improve estimating accuracy.
• Maintain organized estimating documentation and project records.
• Work with multiple projects while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in commercial construction estimating, electrical construction, BIM/VDC, project engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with commercial electrical construction projects.
• Familiarity with BIM workflows and coordination processes.
• Experience using Accubid is highly preferred.
• Experience with SharePoint and Salesforce is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
