Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA, and healthcare-specific electrical codes.
• Proficiency with estimating software such as Accubid, McCormick, or ConEst.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of comprehensive estimates for industrial, large commercial, and healthcare electrical projects valued at $20M–$30M.
• Perform detailed quantity take-offs, material pricing, and labor cost analysis from drawings and specs.
• Develop budgets, conceptual estimates, and cost models during design and preconstruction phases.
• Identify risk factors, value engineering options, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams to ensure estimate accuracy and constructability.
• Establish relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and clients for competitive pricing.
• Participate in bid reviews, project presentations, and negotiations.
• Mentor junior estimators to promote team growth and development.

This role involves developing accurate cost models, performing detailed take-offs, and collaborating with internal teams and external partners to deliver competitive bids. The ideal candidate brings at least 5 years of experience in high-value electrical construction and a deep understanding of NEC and healthcare-specific codes.

Physical Requirements:

• Regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard for prolonged periods.

Pay Transparency:

The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $100,000 to $150,000 annually, based on relevant factors such as experience, skills, education, internal equity, and geographic location. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process by the hiring authority.
