Job summary

AppleOne Employment Services is seeking an Electrical Estimator Apprentice in Irvine, CA to join a growing electrical contractor.

You will support the full estimating and bid lifecycle—from blueprint analysis to supplier coordination—using Bluebeam and Excel in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.

This role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Analyze blueprints for accuracy, completeness, and scope understanding.
• Assist with bid preparation and pricing compilation.
• Perform takeoffs, layouts, and markups to determine bid quantities.
• Calculate fixture, device, equipment counts, and power requirements.
• Utilize takeoff software (Bluebeam) for measurements and quantity extraction.
• Track and manage bid invitations while prioritizing the bid pipeline.
• Distribute drawings to suppliers for pricing and organize incoming quotes.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and estimating records.
• Support multiple active projects while meeting deadlines.

About Us

We are a growing electrical contractor specializing in commercial construction projects. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Electrical Estimator Apprentice to join our fast-paced team. This role supports multiple active projects simultaneously and plays a key part in maintaining accuracy, organization, and efficiency throughout our estimating and bidding operations.

Our team utilizes a combination of established internal estimating processes, Bluebeam, Excel, and other supporting workflows. The ideal candidate thrives in a high-volume environment with frequent updates, tight deadlines, and ongoing coordination with vendors and internal stakeholders.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Head of Estimating, you will support the full estimating and bid lifecycle—from blueprint analysis and quantity takeoffs to supplier coordination and bid tracking.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications
