VSV WINS INC is seeking an Electrical Estimator to prepare detailed estimates for commercial electrical construction projects. You will review drawings, perform quantity takeoffs, analyze costs, and prepare competitive bids to meet deadlines.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in electrical estimating, strong NEC knowledge, and experience with estimating software and Excel. Onsite Hampstead, MD, with strong collaboration across project managers, vendors, and field teams.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years of electrical estimating experience.
  • Strong background in commercial electrical construction estimating.
  • Experience estimating large-scale or complex commercial projects.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical construction practices and NEC.
  • Knowledge of fire alarm systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex electrical drawings, blueprints, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Experience using electrical estimating software.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong cost analysis and bid preparation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify scope gaps, risks, exclusions, and discrepancies.
  • Experience collaborating with project managers, vendors, subcontractors, and field teams.

  • Maintain accurate estimating documentation and records.
  • Ensure estimates comply with applicable electrical codes and construction requirements.
  • Support multiple projects and estimates while meeting deadlines.
  • Mentor or provide guidance to junior estimators when needed.

Salary: Up to $95,000 per year
Vendor Fee: 10%
Estimated Pay:$9500
Payment Terms: Net 45
Guarantee Period: 90 Days

Position Overview

The Electrical Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for commercial electrical construction projects. This position requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, construction practices, project specifications, and cost analysis.

The ideal candidate will be able to review complex drawings and specifications, identify project scope and potential risks, develop detailed bids, and collaborate effectively with internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors.

Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience mentoring or leading junior estimators

  • Field experience as a licensed electrician

  • Strong understanding of commercial electrical systems and installation practices

Candidate Requirements
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder

  • Must be able to work onsite in Hampstead, MD

  • Candidates local to Hampstead/Baltimore, MD, or within a reasonable commuting distance, are strongly preferred

Compensation

Maximum Salary: $95,000 per year
