CS Erickson is seeking an Estimator to develop accurate bids for commercial and industrial electrical projects. You will work with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather data, price labor and materials, and prepare competitive proposals.

The role requires 3–5 years of electrical estimating experience, strong knowledge of electrical systems, and proficiency with estimating tools and MS Office.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of Electrical Estimator experience in construction or electrical trades.
• Deep knowledge of electrical systems, materials, and installation methods.
• Proficiency in estimating software (Accubid, McCormick, Bluebeam) and MS Office.
• Ability to read blueprints, specs, and project documents accurately.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills with stakeholders.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors and suppliers.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare accurate, competitive estimates for commercial/industrial electrical projects, including takeoffs and cost calculations.
• Review plans/specs to identify materials, labor, equipment needs.
• Collaborate with PMs, vendors and subs for pricing and bid prep.
• Identify risks, scope gaps, and cost-saving opportunities to boost profitability.
• Organize bid proposals and supporting docs for internal review and submission.
• Participate in bid reviews and project handoffs, detailing assumptions and pricing.
• Maintain historical data and continuously develop estimating skills.

About the role

As an Estimator at CS Erickson, you will be responsible for developing accurate estimates for electrical construction projects. This role involves collaborating with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to gather necessary information and deliver competitive bids.

What you’ll do

• Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for commercial and industrial electrical projects, including quantity takeoffs, labor and material pricing, and cost analysis.
• Review project plans, specifications, and scope requirements to identify materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor needs.
• Collaborate with project managers, vendors, and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing, validate project requirements, and support bid preparation.
• Identify potential project risks, scope gaps, and cost-saving opportunities to improve estimate accuracy and project profitability.
• Prepare and organize bid proposals, supporting documentation, and estimate details for internal review and submission.
• Participate in bid reviews and project handoffs, communicating estimate assumptions, scope considerations, and pricing details.
• Maintain accurate estimating records and historical cost data while continuously developing technical knowledge and estimating skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
• 3-5 years experience as an Electrical Estimator in the construction or electrical trade market, with a focus on complex projects.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, materials, and installation methods.
• Strong proficiency in estimating software and tools (e.g., Accubid, McCormick, Bluebeam) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills, with the ability to perform detailed quantity take-offs and cost calculations.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and other project documents accurately.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience in managing and coordinating subcontractors and suppliers.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and an ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
