Granger Construction seeks an Electrical Estimator to join our Preconstruction team in Detroit, MI. You will develop detailed electrical estimates, review designs, and partner with project teams to shape projects before construction begins.

Ideal candidates bring a bachelor’s in engineering or journeyman electrician credentials with 2–5 years’ estimating experience, NEC knowledge, and proficiency in Bluebeam and estimating software. This role emphasizes collaboration and precision.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or Journeyman/Master Electrician with an associate degree.
• 2–5 years of estimating, construction, electrical, or related experience.
• Knowledge of electrical systems (power distribution, lighting, safety & security, communications).
• Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and construction tech platforms; estimating software a plus.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive mindset and commitment to delivering high-quality results.

Granger Construction is looking for an Electrical Estimator to join our growing Preconstruction team. In this role, you'll help shape projects long before construction begins by developing accurate estimates, evaluating risks and opportunities, and partnering with project teams, trade partners, and customers to deliver exceptional outcomes.

What You'll Do

• Develop detailed cost estimates for electrical construction projects, including labor, materials, and equipment.
• Review drawings, specifications, and technical documents to understand project scope and requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and construction teams throughout the preconstruction process.
• Analyze subcontractor and supplier proposals to ensure competitive pricing and project alignment.
• Identify risks, value engineering opportunities, and cost-saving solutions.
• Maintain accurate estimating documentation and project records.

What You Bring
