We’re looking for a skilled Electrical Estimator with a strong background in industrial and heavy commercial projects to join our team in Columbus, Ohio. Responsibilities

• Cost Estimation & Bid Preparation
• Analyze blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications to develop accurate cost estimates.
• Determine labor, material, and overhead costs to create comprehensive bids.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to assess project scope, identify risks, and ensure compliance with bid requirements.
• Site Evaluations & Client Interaction
• Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and gather critical data for precise estimating.
• Engage with clients, general contractors, and suppliers to discuss project requirements and specifications.
• Market Research & Vendor Relations
• Stay up to date on industry trends, material pricing, and labor costs to ensure competitive and profitable estimates.
• Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best pricing and terms.
• Documentation & Reporting
• Maintain thorough records of all estimates, bids, and project adjustments.
• Provide detailed cost reports and analysis to support project planning and execution.
  
  

Preferred Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field)(preferred)
• Proven experience as an electrical estimator with expertise in industrial and heavy commercial electrical systems.
• Strong knowledge of electrical construction practices, NEC codes, and safety regulations.
• Proficiency in estimation software and tools.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, RFQs, and technical specifications.
• Experience developing budgets, evaluating vendor proposals, and preparing bid documentation.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
