Job summary

Superior seeks an Estimating Intern for our Columbus, OH headquarters. The internship runs January through April, offering hands-on exposure to project coordination, drawing takeoffs, data collection, and more.

Under the Estimating team, you will learn to read drawings, use AccuBid, and gain experience with industry software, codes, and design practices while visiting job sites for verification.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled at an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Construction Systems Management or a related field.
• Available for Spring term January–April.
• Interest in electrical design and construction is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Produce quantity takeoff of systems from electrical drawings (lighting fixtures, lighting controls, fire alarm devices, etc.).
• Gain exposure to estimating software AccuBid.
• Learn to read drawings and specifications for project requirements.
• Participate in training on industry software, design codes, and specifications.
• Visit construction jobsites to assist with field investigations and drawing verification.
