Job summary

Sunbelt Solomon is seeking a Shop Supervisor to lead the Rental Operations team, ensuring equipment readiness, safety compliance, and exceptional customer service. You will oversee daily activities, coordinate maintenance, and drive continuous improvement across the shop and related departments.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years as a Journeyman Electrician or equivalent and proven leadership in industrial rental settings, with strong technical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Electrician with 3+ years of experience.
• Experience leading teams in industrial, electrical, or rental settings.
• Strong knowledge of commercial and industrial electrical systems (low- and medium-voltage).
• Experience reading electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Proficient with MS Office and maintenance/inventory systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and leadership abilities.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and coordinate the daily activities of the Rental Operations team.
• Assign work priorities based on customer schedules, equipment availability, and operational requirements.
• Ensure rental and sales equipment is inspected, tested, repaired, and prepared for deployment on schedule.
• Monitor workflow to maximize productivity while maintaining quality and safety standards.
• Train, mentor, coach, and develop team members through feedback and performance management.
• Coordinate staffing and equipment for emergency and after-hours support.
• Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Fleet Management, Safety, and HR to support customer requirements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety and reliability.
