Electrical Engineering Technician

COMPANY PROFILE:

Our client has remained a leader in innovation and technology development related to manufacturing specialized agricultural equipment. They are seeking creative individuals to assist in the development of current product lines and new products. The position is based in the Technical Center in the Des Moines area, with some travel required to the plant approximately 2 hours away.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide technical expertise in designing electrical systems, components, and products
• Evaluate functionality, reliability, and performance of electrical systems
• Collaborate with engineering and other teams to improve existing products and develop new ones
• Design electrical parts, components, schematics, diagrams, and specifications using 2D and 3D skills
• Apply electrical design knowledge in PLCs and control systems

REQUIREMENTS:

• AAS in Electrical Engineering/Technology or equivalent education and experience
• Strong background in electrical/electronics in a manufacturing setting, including design, controls, and PLCs
• Familiarity with electrical industry codes, standards, and regulations (a plus)
• Strong electromechanical aptitude
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
