Job summary

Hypertherm Associates is seeking an Electrical Engineering Summer Intern in Hanover, NH. You will work with experienced engineers to support ongoing product lifecycle activities, assist with design changes, and contribute to testing and validation of plasma and waterjet systems.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Two years of completed coursework required for junior/senior standing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities required.
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; proficient with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Support design improvements and engineering changes for plasma and waterjet systems.
• Assist in evaluating alternate mechanical components addressing obsolescence and supply chain.
• Participate in product testing, data analysis, and validation to verify performance.
• Apply structured problem solving and root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with Design, Manufacturing, Procurement, Quality, Regulatory, Reliability, and Supply Chain teams.
