Job summary

Spectraforce Technologies seeks an Electrical Engineering Professional Associate in Sunnyvale, CA for an 11+ month contract. The role focuses on electrical engineering tasks for semiconductor manufacturing and state-of-the-art facilities, with hybrid work requiring four days onsite.

You will handle schedule and technical quality of routine engineering tasks, coordinate with discipline leads, prepare drawings and cable schedules, and support startup activities onsite.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Renewable Energy Engineering.
  • At least 6 years of Electrical Engineering Experience.
  • Engineer in Training (EIT).
  • SDC or Construction Administration (CA) experience (submittals, RFIs, design verification walks, field reports).
  • Ideally, knowledge of Revit or BIM software and PE license in CA.

Responsibilities

  • Join the team as an Electrical Engineer working on semiconductor manufacturing and other state‑of‑the‑art facilities.
  • Manage schedule and technical quality of routine engineering tasks and communicate scope changes promptly.
  • Provide on‑site support during startup and coordinate activities with staff and the discipline lead.
  • Produce installation details, diagrams, layouts, schedules, and power/lighting plans.

Responsibilities

Become part of our team as an Electrical Engineer in Sunnyvale, California, who is interested in working on projects that enable the heart of our clients' business. Join us and you'll have the chance to work on projects including semiconductor manufacturing, research and development facilities, and other state of the art manufacturing facilities.

You'll be accountable for schedule and technical quality of assigned routine engineering tasks, as you gain familiarity with the client's expectations, scope, budget and schedule for assigned tasks, you'll effectively recognize and communicate scope and design changes promptly.

You'll also provide on‑site assistance during startup, coordinate work activities with other staff members and the discipline lead. Your multi‑discipline, highly interactive team will produce installation details, single line diagrams, electric room layouts, motor control elementaries, connection diagrams, cable schedules, control panel layouts and grounding, lighting, and power plans.

Qualifications

Here is what you'll need:

  • Bachelor's or Master of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Renewable Energy Engineering
  • At least 6 years of Electrical Engineering Experience
  • Engineer in Training (EIT)
  • Services During Construction (SDC) or Construction Administration (CA) experience (e.g. submittal reviews, RFI responses, design verification walks, field observation reports)

Ideally, you'll also have:

  • Working knowledge of Revit or BIM software
  • Professional Engineering License (PE) Preferred in the State of California
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas
  • Displayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi‑disciplinary teams
  • Passionate about buildings and construction
