Los Alamos County is seeking an Electrical Engineering Manager to lead design and improvement efforts for the electric distribution network. You will plan, design, and implement reliability-enhancing projects while coordinating fault studies, load forecasting, and system coordination with operations teams.
The role requires a PE license or eligibility, plus supervisory experience. A project management certificate is preferred. A valid New Mexico driver’s license is essential.

$15,000 RECRUITMENT INCENTIVE PAY
$7,500 ON THE SECOND FULL PAY PERIOD AFTER NEW HIRE AND $7,500 AFTER SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF SIX (6) MONTH PROBATION PERIOD
Under general supervision of the Deputy Utility Manager-Electric Distribution, plans, designs and implements improvements to the electric distribution system to optimize reliability. Oversees and performs fault studies, loads forecasts and system coordination. Coordinates with operations personnel to improve system performance and safety. Maintains confidentiality of all privileged information.
