Job summary

RTX is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design and integrate state-of-the-art test systems in a hands-on role within MA locations such as Tewksbury, Andover, or Marlborough. You will contribute to test product development across multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring performance and reliability under demanding schedules.

Candidate must have a STEM degree and hands-on experience with test equipment; security clearance readiness is required for this DoD-focused role, with on-site work and relocation

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) prior to start.
  • Knowledge of electrical components including resistors, capacitors, and transistors.
  • Experience with test and measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and spectrum analyzers.

  • Design, develop, and integrate test products for complex systems within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Create test interface adapters, cabling, schematics, and detailed circuit designs.
  • Develop engineering and production test systems that align with cost and schedule goals.

The Test Solutions Engineering team within the Hardware Discipline Center is at the heart of our innovation, focusing on developing cutting-edge electrical solutions for our products. Our systems are vital to the full product lifecycle, supporting everything from high-tech engineering labs to critical field operations and sustainment.

As an Electrical Engineer on this team, you will have a hands-on opportunity to design and integrate state-of-the-art test systems using the industry’s latest tools. You will be a key contributor to the evolution of our products, ensuring our systems meet technical and performance goals in a highly collaborative environment.

This position will be located in Tewksbury, Andover or Marlborough, Massachusetts.

What You Will Do
  • Design, develop, and integrate test products for complex systems within a multidisciplinary team

Qualifications You Must Have
  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) prior to start
  • Knowledge of electrical components including resistors, capacitors, and transistors
  • Experience with test and measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and spectrum analyzers
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Experience with circuit design and analysis for analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C/C++, or MATLAB for simulation and automation
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities in a dynamic environment
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities to meet assigned deadlines
  • Experience in technical writing and delivering formal presentations

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
