Job summary

Jacobs in Chicago, IL is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to support the design of electrical utilities and communication systems on challenging projects. You’ll collaborate with engineers, assist in construction plans, and gain exposure to CAD tools and data collection while delivering practical solutions for real-world problems.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a BS in Electrical Engineering, with a 3.0 GPA preferred, and have knowledge of MS Office and an interest in power distribution

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
  • Interest in electrical utility design, power distribution, and communication systems.

Here's what you'll need
  • In pursuit of a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
  • An interest in electrical utility design, power distribution, and communication systems
Ideally, you’ll also have
  • 3.0 GPA
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD or Civil3D
  • A previous internship related to your field of study
  • Self-driven time management and organizational skills

The base salary range for this position is $45,000.00 to $65,000.00; though will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
