Job summary

WSP offers an internship in Arlington, TX. You will support engineering tasks to develop technical, social, and ethical skills, and learn basic principles of Electrical Engineering.

You will assist with project research, field work, preliminary design calculations, and cost estimates. We expect students enrolled in EE or related programs with graduation Aug 2027 or later, aged 18+, authorized to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited Electrical Engineering or related undergraduate program with a graduation date Aug 2027 or later.
• Strong communication and writing skills.
• Demonstrated interest in Electrical Engineering or related fields.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

• Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
• Note: No relocation or housing assistance is provided for this internship.

About You

The company is looking for:

• Individuals actively enrolled in an accredited Electrical Engineering or related Undergraduate program with an anticipated graduation date of August 2027 or later.
• Applicants aged 18 or older.
• Demonstrated interest in Electrical Engineering or related fields with a strong desire to advance relevant skills.
• Competent interpersonal and communication skills for effective interaction with engineering and non-engineering audiences.
• Ability to take direction from leadership, mentors, and managers to execute projects.
• Basic proficiency in technical writing, office software, spreadsheets, technology, and tools.
• Proven commitment to workplace safety and adherence to WSP’s health, safety, drug/alcohol, and harassment policies.
• Authorization to work in the United States at the start of the internship.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior internship experience and leadership involvement on campus.

Compensation & Benefits

• Expected salary range: $23.90 - $32.22 per hour, varying by education, experience, skills, and location.
