The role blends office engineering work with hands-on production-floor experience, including substation reliability, protection, and instrumentation projects. You will collaborate with operators, maintenance teams and engineers, review diagrams, support safety initiatives, and contribute to wiring, labeling, and control system documentation while gaining

Qualifications

• Candidates should be enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
• Preferred GPA of at least 2.7.

Responsibilities

• Assist with substation reliability and preventative maintenance through inspections, documentation, and spare parts planning.
• Support engineering teams on safety initiatives, including labeling, schematic review, and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Participate in upgrade and installation projects by reviewing diagrams and updating schematics.
• Contribute to instrumentation and control projects by assisting with HMI programming and monitoring systems.
• Assist in troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems on production equipment.
• Gain hands-on field experience by shadowing electricians and collaborating with contractors and vendors.
