Job summary

CDM Smith office in Concord seeks an Electrical Engineering Intern to join our team for Summer 2027. You'll work with a dynamic group on a diverse portfolio of public, federal, and industrial projects, gaining hands-on exposure to electrical design and analysis.

You will develop drawings for electrical systems, perform calculations, assist in distribution design plans, and review shop drawings as part of our electrical services team.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelors or Master's in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Electrical Technology or realted discipline with an interest in power systems and/or electrical distribution.

Responsibilities

• Developing drawings for electrical systems (power, controls, communications, fire alarm, and security) using CADD.
• Performing electrical calculations using systems analyses software (lighting, load, voltage drop, etc.).
• Assisting in the development of electrical distribution design plans and single line diagrams.
• Reviewing shop drawings and assist with general construction services.
