Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. invites applications for a Product Applications Engineering Intern in the mixed-signal IC product line. You will support customer design-in activities, review schematics, and debug boards under guidance from experienced engineers.

You will develop technical collateral, perform bench characterization, and help create evaluation boards and reference designs. This role offers exposure to cross-functional teams and hands-on learning in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a BS in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Prefer experience in power electronics.
• Familiar with MOSFETs, BJTs, diodes.
• Lab experience with test equipment such as oscilloscopes and multimeters.
• Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools.
• Strong organizational and written/verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support customer design-in activities including answering technical questions, schematic & layout reviews, and board debug.
• Develop technical collateral such as datasheets, reference designs, user guides and application notes.
• Perform bench characterization for new products.
• Create go-to-market collateral including evaluation boards and reference design schematics.
• Work cross-functionally with product marketing, product management, and chip design teams.
• Collect product and application requirements by communicating with customers and internal teams.
